Foundation wins equipment grant
The Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Biosphere Reserve Foundation has been successful in obtaining a Commonwealth Volunteer Small Equipment Grant of $2,921.
The foundation will use the grant to purchase a data projector, portable DVD player, speakers and digital video camera.
This audio-visual equipment will be used by roundtable volunteers at meetings, presentations, education and training programs, and other events, said foundation executive officer, Graham McLennan.
"It will be a valuable tool in encouraging our engagement with the biosphere community and getting people more involved," he said.
"Ultimately, it will contribute directly to sustainability action
on the ground."
